Hello, I'm Olly, the owner and baker behind Lapis312.
Growing up in Indonesia and Singapore, I developed my palate alongside my beloved grandmother, fostering a deep love for sweets. Inspired by family traditions, I pursued a Pastry Program at The French Pastry School in Chicago, leading to a career spanning The Peninsula Hotel Chicago, Pierre Hermé in Paris, and co-founding Ollella in Singapore with my sister Marcella in 2016. After marrying, I returned to the US, eager to share the authentic flavors of Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Having experienced the longing for home flavors during my years away, I understand the importance of connecting with one's roots. Armed with my grandmother's cherished 65-year-old recipes, my goal is to transport you to joyful memories and inspire future generations to embrace their cultural heritage.
